For barley, first clarify the intended use: feed, malting or another use agreed with the buyer. A spring or winter designation alone does not confirm suitability for a particular production process. Agree on the required specifications before shipment.
For specialised purchases, ask the buyer for variety and testing requirements. If the batch was stored in separate lots, clarify its consistency and the sampling procedure. Separate the grain price, delivery and any conditioning services in the offer.

What sellers should prepare
State the exact crop, volume in tonnes, storage location and loading window. Attach analysis results for this specific batch. Specify the currency, price per tonne, VAT treatment, delivery and whether partial shipments are possible. This lets buyers compare offers without guessing what the price includes.
Storage and transport
Agree on loading and receiving locations, weighing equipment, who takes samples and the documents accompanying the batch. For delivery to a grain elevator, confirm receiving hours and available services directly with the facility.
