Buy and sell rapeseed in Ukraine: offers and terms

Rapeseed listings may distinguish food, industrial, spring or winter types. Clarify which types and specifications the buyer accepts. Comparing only the crop name can hide differences in intended use and receiving terms.

What to check before agreeing

Request oil content, moisture and impurity analysis, along with any other figures required by the buyer’s specification. Establish where quality will be checked and how discrepancies will be recorded. State the currency, VAT treatment, delivery and validity period separately in the price offer.

  • Intended use and buyer specification.
  • Oil content, moisture and impurities.
  • Location and procedure for quality testing.
  • Price validity, delivery and final settlement.

What sellers should prepare

State the exact crop, volume in tonnes, storage location and loading window. Attach analysis results for this specific batch. Specify the currency, price per tonne, VAT treatment, delivery and whether partial shipments are possible. This lets buyers compare offers without guessing what the price includes.

Storage and transport

Agree on loading and receiving locations, weighing equipment, who takes samples and the documents accompanying the batch. For delivery to a grain elevator, confirm receiving hours and available services directly with the facility.
