On July 13, 2026, Russian forces attacked a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Togo during the unloading of mineral fertilizers in a Ukrainian port in the Odesa region. According to official reports, the strike caused a fire, resulting in the deaths of three crew members, while five other sailors were injured and hospitalized.
